Setser Continues To Learn In Latest Midget Outing
MATTOON, Ill. (June 1, 2024) On track for two nights with the Xtreme Outlaw Midgets presented by Toyota, Gunnar Setser landed a 15th and 17th place finish at Doe Run Raceway and Coles County Speedway.
Working sixth until Lap 7 at Doe Run on Friday night, Setser suffered a massive hit from Ryan Timms, who charged the bottom into the third turn and slammed into Gunnar. Able to restart, the result was a disappointing 15th.
Having to work into the feature the following night at Coles County after a DNF in the opening Heat Race, everything from there was forward momentum with two spots gained in the Last Chance Showdown, followed by three more in the feature to finish 17th.
Saturday in Wayne County, Ill was lost to rain.
