November 10, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Wins in First 600cc Start at Wayne County
1Gunnar Setser and Setser Racing returned to Wayne County Speedway (Wayne City, Ill.) on Sunday afternoon as the talented young driver made his 600cc Winged Micro Sprint debut.

The Columbus, Ind. hot shoe charged to a convincing heat race win, earning him the pole position for the feature. Setser grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag and led every lap of the 15-lap main event to score his first-ever 600cc Winged Micro Sprint victory.

Following Setser across the finish line were: Koert Mehler, Troy Leonard, Ayden Gatewood, and Aidan Salisbury.

October 17, 2019 - Runner-Up Finish at Wayne County for Gunnar Setser
1Gunnar Setser and Setser Racing entered a single event over the weekend. The team's lone venture into action came on Thursday night at Wayne County Speedway (Wayne City, Illinois) during the Restrictor Micro Sprint portion of the annual Jason Leffler Memorial.

Setser piloted his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Driven Chassis Micro Sprint to a runner-up finish in the night's feature program.

October 12, 2019 - Podium Finish for Gunnar Setser at U.S. 24 Raceway
1On a chilly Saturday evening Setser Racing invaded U.S. 24 Raceway (Logansport, Indiana) for another night of Restricted Winged Micro Sprint action.

Gunnar once again took his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Driven Chassis Wingless Micro Sprint into battle against a talented field of racers.

He started his nightr by qualifying fastest in his group and backed it up with a heat race win. In the feature, Setser started fifth before crossing the finish line in the third position behind Jack Hoyer and Colin MItchell.

Jason Setser also joined in the night's fun, by entering the Senior Micro Sprint division. He started his night with a heat race win, which positioned him fifth on the starting grid for the feature. Setser's night came to an early end as he retired early from the caution-filled finale and was credited with an eighth-place finish.

September 28, 2019 - Wayne County Speedway Win Scored by Gunnar Setser
1It was a doubleheader weekend of racing for Setser Racing and its pilot Gunnar Setser. The team kicked things off on Friday night with a trip to Wayne County Speedway (Wayne City, Illinois) in his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Driven Chassis Winged Micro Sprint

Gunnar started his night with a fifth-to-second run in his heat race, which positioned him on the pole for the feature. In the main event, he wired the field to score his 10th victory of the season.

Collin Mitchell, Braden Pfeiffer, Kayla Martin and Izzie Wilson completed the Top-5 finishers.

Saturday evening brought the team back to their home track, Circus City Speedway (Peru, Indiana). Gunnar raced to a runner-up finish in his heat race before recording a third-place finish in the feature behind Collin Mitchell and Jack Hoyer.

September 21, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Finishes Third at Circus City Speedway
1Gunnar Setser was once again in action on Saturday night in his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Driven Chassis Wingless Micro Sprint at Circus City Speedway (Peru, Indiana).

After struggles in his heat race Gunnar started on the back of the feature event.

Throughout the 2019 season, slick conditions have been a bit of a nemesis for Gunnar, but in the night's feature event he was finally able to modify his driving style to match the track conditions.

Setser advanced to a third-place finish behind Aiden Williamson and Cooper Baldwin.

September 14, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Debuts Driven Chassis with Podium Finish
1Gunnar Setser debuted his brand-new Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Driven Chassis Wingless Micro Sprint on Saturday night at Circus City Speedway (Peru, Indiana).

With seven entries on hand, Gunnar triumphantly started his night with a win in his heat race. The performance earned him the third-starting spot for the feature.

Early in the finale Setser raced to as high as the runner-up position before ultimately settling into a third-place finish behind Cale Coons and Aiden Williamson.

September 9, 2019 - Setser Racing Records Pair of Weekend Top-5 Finishes
1Gunnar Setser returned to familiar territory over the weekend with a pair of Restricted Winged Micro events in his home state of Indiana.

Action came to life on Friday night at U.S. 24 Speedway (Logansport, Indiana). The night started with Setser qualifying fastest over the nine-car field with a 12.014-second lap. He then started fourth in his heat race before racing to a runner-up finish.

The feature again found Gunnar starting fourth on the grid. He battled his way to a runner-up finish behind Jack Hoyer with Cooper Baldwin, Aaliyah Ohab and Aiden Williamson completed the Top-5 finishers.

Saturday took the team to Circus City Speedway (Peru, Indiana). A third-place finish in his heat race positioned Gunnar fifth on the starting grid for the feature.

In the finale he recorded a fifth-place finish behind race winner Jack Hoyer, Aiden Williamson, Cale Coons and Ryan Roark.

August 31, 2019 - Setser Racing Embarks on Double Shot Labor Day Weekend Swing
1Gunnar Setser and Setser Racing embarked on a two-race swing over the course of the Labor Day weekend with their Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Wingless Micro Sprint.

The holiday weekend came to life on Friday night at Indiana's U.S. 24 Speedway, where nine entries were on hand in the Restricted Winged Micro division. Gunnar charged from the fourth-starting spot to a runner-up finish in his heat race, which positioned fourth on the starting grid for the finale.

In the feature, his bid for the win came up one spot short with a runner-up finish behind Jack Hoyer.

On Saturday night it would be mission accomplished for Setser Racing. Gunnar hit the ground running at Circus City Speedway (Peru, Indiana). He advanced from the third-starting spot in his heat race to bag the win. In the feature he started in the second position and wired the field to take his ninth win of 2019. Cooper Baldwin, Aiden Williamson, Colin Baldwin, and Hayden McKnight followed him across the finish line.

August 24, 2019 - Setser Battles Adversity at U.S. 24 Raceway
1Gunnar Setser was hoping to flip his recent bad luck on Saturday night as the young driver went into battle at U.S. 24 Raceway (Logansport, Indiana) in his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Wingless Micro Sprint.

Gunnar started his night by leading the early laps of his heat race before slipping back to a third-place finish.

In the feature he started third on the grid and was making up ground early in the race. Unfortunately, another competitor spun in front of Setser, leaving him with nowhere to go. The ensuing damage ended his outing in the fifth position.

1The first-ever trip to Missouri's Sweet Spings Motorsports Complex was no challenge for Gunnar Setser. The young phenom raced his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint to his eighth win of the season in his debut at the multi-grooved oval.

Gunnar started his night by charging from the final-starting spot in his heat race to score the commanding victory. Via his heat race performance, Setser locked into the pole position for the feature.

The finale found him leading every lap to race to Victory Lane!

August 3, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Scores Top-5 Finish at U.S. 24 Speedway
1Setser Racing rolled into U.S. 24 Speedway (Logansport, Indiana) on Saturday night, where Gunnar Setser returned to the driver's seat of his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint.

For the second-straight week, Gunnar was forced to get up on the wheel to overcome adversity. In the feature he tangled with the second-place car before bouncing back to finish in the fourth position.

Mechanical issues while leading his heat race forced Gunnar pitside. As a result, he started sixth on the feature grid before rebounding to a runner-up finish behind race winner, Jack Hoyer.

July 20, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Has Frustrating Weekend at Showdown in Bean Town
1Weekend action for Setser Racing opened on Friday night at Wayne County Speedway (Wayne City, Illinois) as Gunnar Setser took his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint into battle in the opening round of the Showdown in Bean Town.

Unfortunately, the night wouldn't go as planned in the Restricted Winged Micro Sprint division for the 10-year-old racer. Problems in heat race action relegated him to a DNF. In the feature he was only able to manage a third-place finish.

On Saturday night it would be another grind for the team. The car would only run for a few laps at a time, ultimately forcing Gunnar to retire from the program before racing action began.

July 13, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Scores Win No. 7 of 2019 with Circus City Romp
1Gunnar Setser continued his recent, hot streak on Saturday night with a dominating performance behind the wheel of his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint.

The talented 10-year-old conquered the Restricted Winged Micro Sprint division action at Circus City Speedway to earn his seventh victory of 2019.

Gunnar started his outing with a runner-up performance in his heat race, which positioned him second on the starting gird for the finale.

In the feature Setser jumped to the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back en route to the victory. Cale Coons, Aiden Williamson, Easton Zent, and Enrique Montlieaux completed the Top-5 finishers.

July 6, 2019 - Setser Rebounds For Runner-Up Finish at Circus City; Wins at Coles County Speedway
1A rare midweek show took Setser Racing to Circus City Speedway (Peru, Indiana) on Wednesday night. Team driver, Gunnar Setser led the team into battle in his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint. (Dan Smith photo)

Gunnar started his outing with a heat race win from the second-starting spot, which locked him into the pole position for the feature event.

As the feature went green Setser jumped to the top spot over the 11-car field, but bad luck would bite entering turn 3, when he tagged an infield tire, which sent him spinning.

After rejoining the tail of the field Gunnar rebounded to finish in the runner-up spot behind race winner, Jack Hoyer.

Rain throughout the area left the team scrambling for a place to race on Saturday night. Setser Racing ultimately found themselves competing at Coles County Speedway (Mattoon, Illinois). Gunnar broke out the broom and made a clean sweep of the program. He won both his heat and his qualifier to earn the pole position for the feature.

Setser jumped to the top spot on the third circuit of the feature and never looked back on his way to his sixth win of 2019.

June 29, 2019 - Fourth-Place Finish at U.S. 24 Speedway for Gunnar Setser
1Gunnar Setser and Setser Racing returned to U.S. 24 Speedway (Logansport, Indiana) on Saturday night. Setser was looking for his second-straight Non-Wing Restricted Winged Micro victory, but unfortunately it just wasn't meant to be.

Battling the handle of the new division on a very slick track surface, he was only able to manage a fourth-place finish in the final rundown. Even though it wasn't the result that he had hoped for, it was a learning experience for the talented young driver in his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint.

June 24, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Wins in Wingless Debut at Circus City
1Making the first Wingless Restricted A-Class Micro Sprint start of his young career was no big deal for Gunnar Setser on Monday night

Despite racing with a different setup, the end result was still the same as the Indiana racer took his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint to Victory Lane at Circus City Speedway.

The triumph marked his fifth of the 2019 campaign.

Gunnar made a clean sweep of the program. He started his night by winning his heat race from the pole position, and then he charged from the fourth-starting spot in the feature to claim his second win at the facility in the past three days.

Jack Hoyer, Easton Zent, Brodie Wendel and Cale Coons completed the Top-5 finishers.

June 22, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Races to Restrictor Class Rumble Victory at Circus City
1Gunnar Setser returned to his winning ways on Saturday night. Behind the wheel of his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint, the 10-year-old phenom streaked to the Restrictor Class victory at Circus City Speedway.

The victory was his fourth of the 2019 season.

Heat race action found Gunnar racing from the fourth-starting spot to a runner-up finish. His performance positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the feature.

As the finale went green Setser quickly found his way into the second position. Gunnar began pressuring the leader for the top spot, and following an early-race restart he used the low line to take control of the lead. Despite a plethora of cautions, including one with just two laps to go, Setser paced the field for the remainder of the feature to score the victory. He picked up $600 for his efforts.

Mason Hannagan, Easton Zent, Ryan Roark, and Cale Coons completed the Top-5 finishers.

June 8, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Surges to Podium Finish at U.S. 24 Speedway
1Gunnar Setser and Setser Racing entered a single event over the weekend. On Saturday evening the team invaded U.S. 24 Speedway (Logansport, Indiana), where Gunnar was competing in the Restricted Winged Micro division.

Difficulties early in the night left Gunnar starting the feature on the tail in his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint.
Despite starting last in the finale he was able to advance to a third-place finish behind Reed Miller and Jack Hoyer.

The team hopes to have their primary engine back for their upcoming events.

Gunnar made a clean sweep of the night's Restricted Winged Micro program. He won his heat race to earn the pole-starting position for the feature. In the main event he motored away from the pack to pick up the victory, which was his third of the 2019 campaign.

May 26, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Emerges Victorious at Wayne County Speedway
1Fresh off his first-career win in the Restrictor class, which came one week earlier, Gunnar Setser charged to the victory on Saturday night at Wayne County Speedway (Wayne City, Illinois).

His second-straight triumph came aboard his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint.

Gunnar started his night with a heat race win, and then went on to charge to the feature win. He was followed across the finish line by Cale Coons, Megan Thomas and Izzie Wilson.

Sunday night's scheduled event at U.S. 24 Speedway fell victim to rain.

May 18, 2019 - Gunnar Setser Gets First Restrictor Micro Sprint Win
1Gunnar Setser entered Tuesday Night Thunder at Wayne County Speedway (Wayne City, Illinois), and enjoyed a great outing.
He started his night by winning his heat race in his Midwest Tube Mills No. G5 Setser Fabricating/ Concept Chassis Micro Sprint, which locked him into a front-row starting spot for the Restrictor main event

In the feature, Gunnar drove a great race and led until late in the race, when he lost the lead in lapped traffic. He would go on to record a runner-up finish at the checkered flag.

Friday night took the team to U.S. 24 Raceway (Logansport, Indiana), where Gunnar started his night by setting second fast time, and then he finished second in his heat race. The feature proved to be full of challenges for the talented young driver. After a pair of trips to the tail he rebounded to finish sixth.

Saturday night was a milestone outing for Gunnar Setser at Circus City Speedway (Peru, Indiana). He started his night with a heat race win to earn the pole position for the feature. He grabbed the lead early and wen on to lead every lap of the feature to pick up his first-career Restrictor Micro Sprint win.

May 4, 2019 - Broken Shock Ends Gunnar Setser's Outing Early at Circus City Speedway
1Mother Nature finally allowed 10-year-old, Gunnar Setser to return to action on Saturday evening in his Setser Fabricating #G5 Concept Chassis Micro Sprint.

The team made the short trip to Circus City Speedway (Peru, Indiana), where he was competing in the NOW600 Restricted A-Class Micro Sprint division.

Gunnar finished fourth in his heat race, after starting in the fifth position. Via his heat race performance, he started sixth in the feature.

Unfortunately his run in the feature came to an early end, when he broke a right-front shock on the second lap. Setser was credited with a ninth-place finish in the final rundown.

January 22, 2019 - Setser Racing Launches New Cyberhome
1Columbus, Indiana's Setser Racing is the latest addition to the MSR Mafia team and has launched a brand-new cyber home at www.SetserRacing.com.

The team fields Micro Sprint and Junior Sprint entries. Veteran racer, Jason Setser competes in various divisions in his #12s Micro Sprint. Meanwhile, his 10-year-old son, Gunnar is preparing for the second year of competition behind the wheel of his Setser Fabricating #G5 Concept Chassis Junior Sprint.

The 2018 season was his rookie season in the class, but it didn't stop Gunnar from storming to a staggering 14 feature wins.

Setser Racing recently kicked off their 2019 campaign with a trip to the annual Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout. Jason fell just short of qualifying for the featur in the Stock Non-Wing division. Gunnar had a great outing. He earned the fifth-starting spot for the Junior Sprint feature against a talented field of 60 competitors. Unfortunately, bad luck struck in the feature, and he was sidelined to a 15th-place finish.
