Strong Three-Day Swing for Gunnar Setser Over Labor Day Weekend

COLUMBUS, Indiana (September 1, 2024) A Labor Day weekend swing in Michigan and Indiana kicked off for Gunnar Setser on Friday afternoon with a trek to I-96 Speedway (Lake Odessa, Mich.) for the Great Lakes Super Sprints sanctioned contest.

With a third-place heat finish positioning on the fifth row for the opener, Setser worked his way up third early when a broken right-front spindle spoiled his promising run.

At Crystal Motor (MI) Speedway on Saturday, Gunnar backed up the fourth-fastest qualifying effort in his group with a third-place finish in his heat. Chasing a $2,000 payday in the feature, Setser steered to a consistent ninth-place finish.

Setser's Labor Day weekend concluded with a ninth-place finish in the 410 Sprint Car ranks on Sunday at Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, Ind.).
