Gunnar Setser Races to First Win of 2022 Campaign

Gunnar Setser embarked on the opening round of a weekend doubleheader at U.S. 24 Speedway (Logansport, Ind.) on Friday evening.

Competing in both the Concept Chassis A-Class Winged Micro and Main Street Bakery Non-Wing A-Class, Gunnar hit the ground running with a heat race win in the A-Class Winged Micro.

Starting from the pole position for the feature, he paced the first 16 laps before a bent wheel sidelined him to a 10th-place ifnish.

In Non-Wing A-Class competition on Friday, Gunnar started and finished in the eighth position in the finale.

On Saturday, redemption would be Setser's in the A-Class Winged Micro. After setting fast time in his qualifying group, he raced from fourth to third in his heat race to earn the pole for the feature. In the main event he wired the field to pick up his first win of the year. Gunnar was followed across the finish line by Charlie Allen, Cale Coons, Blane Culp, and Brittain O'Neal.

The night's Non-Wing A Class feature found Gunnar starting seventh in the feature, but retiring from the event early. He was credited with a 19th-place finish.
