Gunnary Setser returned to action on Saturday evening in his Setser Fabricating No. G5 Micro Sprint. The team made the short trip to Citcus City Speedway in Peru, Indiana, where he was competing the the Restricted A-Class division.

Gunnar picked up a heat race win, after starting in the second position. Via his heat race performance, Gunnar earned the outside front-row starting spot for the feature.

After battling in the Top-5 throughout the 20-lap main event, Setser crossed the finish line in third behind race winner Collin Mitchell, and Cale Coons. Carter Whaley and Easton Zent rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

Friday night found Gunnar Setser returning to KC Raceway in Independence, Missouri to compete with the Lucas Oil NOW 600 Restricted Micros Series. Gunnar secured his spot into Friday's 20-lap A-Main with an 8-lap heat race victory. Starting in fifth, Setser went on to record a solid fifth-place finish behind race winner Jade Avedisian, Ethan Ayars, Kayden Cole, and Justin Sokol.

Returning on Saturday night, Gunnar advanced from his second starting spot to grab the win in his heat race, locking him into the fifth-start position on the feature grid. Setser dropped one spot in the 25-lap affair to place sixth.

For the first time since early January, Setser Racing hit the road with Gunnar Setser entering a trio of events over the weekend.

As drivers ease back into competition amid the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Gunnar enjoyed a solid return with a Top-5 and Top-10 performance this weekend.

Friday night took the team to KC Raceway in Independence, Missouri. Gunnar started the night with a second-place finish in his preliminary heat race. Starting the 20-lap main event in third, Setser went on to place fourth behind race winner Jack Thomas, Tyler Kuykendal, and Trey Zorn. Garrett Benson rounded out the Top-5.

The action shifted to Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex on Saturday. A third-place finish in his heat race after starting fifth would earning Gunnar the fifth-start spot on the feature grid. Unfortunately, on the opening circuit while battling for second, the No. G5 sustained damage that would ultimately result in a 14th place finish in the final rundown.

To close out the weekend, Setser Racing made the trip to Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Spring Fling. In a stout field, Gunnar managed a fifth-place finish in his heat race, which positioned him 16th on the starting grid for the A-Main. He went on to charge through the field to a solid seventh-place finish.
